How to Cook with Urban Mutton Masala
Preparing a mutton curry with Urban’s masala is simple yet deeply satisfying. Here’s how:

Marination Magic –
Make a paste of ¼ cup coriander, 12 garlic cloves, 1-inch ginger, and 4 green chilies. Mix this with 500g of mutton, 100g curd, ¼ tsp turmeric, and salt. Let it sit for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to soak in. -
Pressure Perfection –
Add the marinated mutton and 500 ml of water to a pressure cooker with a little oil. Cook for 5–6 whistles till the meat is soft and juicy. -
Golden Onion Paste –
Sauté sliced onions till golden brown, blend into a smooth paste, and keep aside. -
Spice Infusion –
In a pan, heat 4 tbsp oil. Add ½ tsp cumin and whole spices. Sauté the onion paste, then stir in 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, ¼ tsp turmeric, 1 tbsp red chili powder, 1 tbsp coriander powder, ½ tbsp Urban Mutton Masala, 1 tsp cumin powder, and ½ tbsp garam masala. -
Bringing It All Together –
Add the cooked mutton and stock, simmer till the gravy reaches your desired consistency. Adjust salt, add water if required, and finish with freshly chopped coriander.
